Melb City Council Smart Cities Case Study

The Problem

Melbourne City Council wanted to find a better way to provide access control to sporting grounds for sports clubs, depending on the season (e.g. cricket club access only during summer season, football club during winter).

The Solution

Telstra approached M2M Connectivity to find a solution. We designed a system that integrated their existing security panels with remote connectivity using the Sierra Wireless GX400, with code written on the modems to allow integration to the panels.

M2M Connectivity also provided installation support, and provided ongoing support for the system for a number of years.
